For the last two years, Coach Potter has organized a Bat Boy Program for the University of Maryland baseball team. For every home baseball team, two individuals are assigned the task of being in the dugout, one as a bat boy and one as a ball boy. There are approximately 30 home games which will allow about 60 kids to participate in the bat boy program. Click Here to read some of the testimonials about the program.
The boy (or girl) must be between the ages of 10-14. If you are interested in being considered for a batboy or ball boy, please fill out this form. Individuals will be selected by October 15 for next year, and will be expected to attend the “Meet the Players & Coaches Day”. This event will take place in early November. More information will be supplied as we get closer to the date. The program has become very successful, as there are more interested participants than open spots.
